Every check in the product exists because I’ve seen it break in production. No features designed from a whiteboard.
scar tissueTagDrishti exists because on every Fortune 500 tracking stack I audited, 15 to 30% of the GTM tags were quietly failing, and nothing in the market under $80K a year would tell you.
Twelve years of Fortune 500 engagements, eighty-plus vendors intercepted, and a two-second alert latency. The product is a direct response to those numbers.
I’m Swapnil Jaykar. For over a decade I’ve led analytics engineering work for Fortune 500 retailers, fintechs, and SaaS companies, the kind of stacks where a missed purchase event shows up on a revenue dashboard the next morning and someone’s Monday goes sideways.
Every engagement followed the same pattern. I’d open the browser, crack open the network tab, and within a day find tags that had been silently failing for weeks. Sometimes months. A consent mode change, a CSP tightening, a theme deploy, a GTM variable scoping bug. The data was already gone, and the team only knew because I walked in and told them.
The tools to catch this in real time either didn’t exist, or started at $80,000 a year for enterprise suites that most teams couldn’t justify. Between the free GA4 debugger and the six-figure platforms, there was nothing. So I built what I wished I’d had for those twelve years.
One script in the <head>, running independently of GTM, watching every tag fire in real user sessions. Not a scheduled crawl, not a synthetic check, not a browser extension someone has to remember to open. When a tag drops, Slack or email alerts in under 2 seconds, with the page, the cause, and the affected vendor attached. 80+ vendors intercepted on day one.
Every check in the product traces back to a tag I watched break in production. The trade-offs are honest because I’ve had to live with the wrong ones.

retail / fintech / saasNo magic, no buzzwords. If a check has false positives, I’ll tell you. If a vendor can’t be intercepted cleanly, it’s on the roadmap, not the marketing page.
